Dive deeper on this Oktoberfest Germany Tour with this day by day overview:
Arrive via the Berlin Brandenburg Airport and take the train into Downtown. Our hotel is conveniently located near the station. We'll visit the Berliner Dome, explore historical sites during a walking tour and finish with the Topography of Terror Museum.
Experience beautiful architecture and learn about Germany Politics at the Reichstag Parliament building. Afterwards we'll eat our way through the streets of Berlin on a German Food Tour. We'll cap off our day with a sunset cruise on the River Spree.
Today we'll head north to the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. This is a somber yet powerful experience, as we'll learn about events that took place here during the Holocaust. Afterwards, we'll head to Potsdam to explore the Palace town by foot.
Today we'll move locations, catching a train south to the Bavarian city of Nuremberg. We'll arrive in the early evening and we'll have a free night to explore the castle city and grab dinner at a local restaurant.
Today we'll dig into Bavarian culture as we explore Nuremberg with a local walking tour. We'll see cultural sights such as Schöner Brunnen, St. Lorenz Church and more as we walk the canals. After lunch, we'll catch back up for a tour of the Imperial Castle which dominates the city's landscape.
Many significant events took place during World War II in Nuremberg. Today we'll visit the Nazi Rally Grounds which served Hitler in his rise to power. We'll also explore the Rock Cut Cellars which were used as a bomb shelter when the city was destroyed by Allied Air Raids.
We'll take a short train ride from Nuremberg to Munich and settle in to our centrally located hotel. Today we have a private Oktoberfest tour and reservation in one of the beer tents.
Today we'll experience Munich city highlights on foot as we explore the Old Town via walking tour. We'll learn about Bavarian history and afterwards we'll have plenty of time for another round of Oktoberfest celebrations!
Today we'll head outside of Munich to visit Neuschwanstein Castle (known as the Disney Castle). This will be a full day excursion but we'll return in the early evening with time to hit Oktoberfest for a third time!
On day ten our group will begin heading their separate ways. We'll have easy access to the Munich International Airport via public transportation. Some will head home and others will continue their adventures elsewhere in Europe!
See what my clients are saying about their experiences when they Travel With Wes!
Highly recommend Wes for your travels! He organized and led a large group trip to Banff last year, which included hiking, dining out, sightseeing and much more.
Our Northern lights tour with Wes exceeded our expectations! We were fortunate to see the lights on several nights but Norway provided much more than that. We would love to travel with Wes again.
It would’ve taken me weeks to research and plan something like this on my own! I can’t recommend his services and group trips enough.
He also put together a great group of wonderful people whom we still talk to and hope to share another trip together soon. Wes did such a great job and we are forever grateful! Highly recommended!
I had a fantastic experience traveling with Wes to Norway! Every detail of the trip was planned and executed flawlessly. I trusted him wholeheartedly throughout the entire process.
First time out of the country can be a lot but having the best spots picked out and great tips really just opened our eyes on how amazing and fun Europe is without worries!
My Northern Lights Trip to Norway with Travel with Wes was a top notch experience. The cost was worth the services and experiences of the trip. If another itinerary and the timing works out I would travel with Wes again!

Information about the cities we'll visit
Berlin, the capital of Germany, is a vibrant and dynamic city known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and modern energy.
Pin
With a population of around 3.7 million, it is Germany’s largest city and one of the country’s most important political, cultural, and economic centers.
One of the most significant aspects of Berlin’s history is the Berlin Wall, which once divided the city during the Cold War. Today, remnants of the Wall, along with the East Side Gallery, serve as powerful symbols of the city’s reunification.
Other key historical sites include the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag (German Parliament), and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

Nuremberg, located in the heart of Bavaria, Germany, is a city rich in history, culture, and medieval charm. With a population of around 520,000, it is the second-largest city in Bavaria.
Following World War II, the city became infamous as the location of the Nuremberg Trials, where Nazi war criminals were prosecuted. The Documentation Center and the Nuremberg Trials Memorial provide powerful insights into this dark chapter of world history.
The city is also renowned for its culinary traditions, including Nuremberg sausages and gingerbread (Lebkuchen), which are beloved by locals and visitors alike.

Other Useful Information (FAQs)
No – all transportation for this tour is included. The tour includes transfers between each destination city. Public transportation is recommended for getting from the airport to our hotel upon arrival.
All of the activities on this tour are classified as easy in terms of difficulty. However, guests should be comfortable walking a few miles or more each day while exploring different cities.
Each day we’ll depart as a group from our hotel to our scheduled destination and activities.
Once our scheduled activities for the day have concluded, everyone is free to explore town on their own or with other travelers they meet during the trip.
My goal is to provide the group with all the benefits of a group tour, while ensuring there’s still ample opportunity for independence, flexibility and some to explore on your own.
There will be ample time after scheduled activities each day to explore town. By spending 3 nights in each location, you won’t feel rushed or like you didn’t have enough time in any destination.
You’re also welcome to forgo any of the scheduled activities to substitute something you’d prefer to do at your own expense. If you elect to do so, just be sure to inform your guide!
While you have the flexibility to do so, rest assured this itinerary will cover the best experiences that each city has to offer. I suggest filling out your remaining time by exploring town, shopping or enjoying local bars and restaurants.
German is the official language of Germany. English is widely spoken and restaurants typically have English menus available. You shouldn’t have any issues getting around if you don’t speak German.
Tools like Google Translate are also extremely helpful in bridging any remaining language gaps.
