About this 10 Day Germany Tour Package
This trip offers an immersive journey into German history and culture, starting in the vibrant capital of Berlin.
We’ll explore iconic landmarks like the Reichstag, the Berlin Wall, and try local flavors on a walking food tour before heading south to Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second-largest city.
In Nuremberg, we’ll wander through the charming Old Town, meandering along cobblestone streets and canals to visit the Imperial Castle. We’ll also explore the fascinating Rock Cut tunnels and savor the city’s famous Nuremberg sausages.
After soaking in the history of Nuremberg, we’ll make our way to Munich, where we’ll dive into the lively atmosphere of Oktoberfest.
Picture yourself strolling through massive beer halls, raising your steins with new friends, and enjoying the sounds of traditional Bavarian music!
Beyond Oktoberfest, we’ll visit the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle, and take a somber trip to Dachau Concentration Camp. While the experience is heavy, it’s an essential part of understanding the profound impact of World War II and the Holocaust
Upon arriving in Berlin, we'll take a train into the city center and check into our hotel near Berlin Mitte.
Try to arrive by 2 PM for a seamless check-in experience.
In the evening, we’ll embark on a sunset cruise along the River Spree, offering a perfect introduction to the city’s layout while enjoying stunning views from the water.
After the cruise, you’ll have free time to explore Berlin’s vibrant dining scene or dive into its renowned nightlife, before we dive into the core of our group itinerary!
On our first full day in Berlin, we’ll visit the historic Reichstag, the German Parliament building.
The Reichstag is steeped in history, from its role during Hitler’s rise to power before World War II, to its transformation today. The iconic glass dome is now open to visitors, symbolizing the transparency of the German government to both citizens and visitors alike.
After our tour of the Reichstag, we’ll head into Berlin Mitte for an unforgettable food tour. We’ll sample traditional Berlin dishes and drinks like kebabs, classic plum donuts, Berliner Weisse, and more.
The tour will end at a local brewery, and afterward, you’ll have the evening free to explore the city or enjoy Berlin’s vibrant nightlife.
On our third day in Berlin, we’ll start with a visit to the lively Mauerpark Flea Market—an ideal spot to pick up unique souvenirs or some vintage German gear.
After exploring the market, we’ll head to the iconic Brandenburg Gate and kick off a walking tour of the city’s main cultural landmarks.
We’ll visit key historical sites like the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, and more.
The tour will wrap up with a visit to the Topography of Terror Museum, which delves into the events leading up to and during World War II in Germany, offering a powerful and informative perspective on the era.
On Day 4, we’ll catch a train south to Nuremberg, Bavaria's second-largest city.
Known for its historic charm, Nuremberg’s pedestrian-friendly Old Town is surrounded by an impressive medieval castle wall.
You’ll have the evening free to wander the city, explore its vibrant nightlife, and soak in the atmosphere before we dive into group activities and explore the town’s top highlights over the next two days.
Our first full day in Nuremberg will begin with a walking tour to give us an overview of the city and a deeper understanding of its most significant cultural landmarks.
After the tour, we’ll visit the Imperial Castle, one of my favorite spots in town, offering stunning views and rich history.
If you're looking to pick up some authentic Bavarian attire for Oktoberfest, this is the perfect opportunity to do some shopping!
On our final day in Nuremberg, we’ll start with a visit to the Nazi Rally Grounds, a significant site where Hitler began his rise to power leading up to World War II.
In the evening, we’ll explore the Rock Cut Tunnels, which were used as bomb shelters during World War II when Allied forces heavily bombed the city.
On our seventh day, we’ll take a train south to Munich—the heart of Oktoberfest!
You can join an optional walking tour of Old Town or explore the area on your own if you’d rather go at your own pace.
After taking in the sights of Old Town, we’ll head over to the main event to indulge in giant pretzels, bratwurst, and hearty Bavarian chicken as we dive into the Oktoberfest celebrations!
Don’t forget to bring your dirndl or lederhosen (optional, but highly encouraged)!
On our second day in Munich, we’ll visit the Dachau Concentration Camp to pay our respects.
This is not your typical tourist stop—it’s a deeply moving and reflective experience. As we walk through the site, we’ll learn about the tragic events of the Holocaust that occurred here during World War II.
Afterward, you’ll have free time to explore Munich on your own before we gather again in the evening to continue celebrating at Oktoberfest.
On our final day in Munich, we’ll take a day trip to the nearby Neuschwanstein Castle, famously known as the "Disney Castle."
We’ll explore the breathtaking palace built by King Ludwig II, one of the most impressive architectural feats in Europe.
This will be a full-day excursion, and we’ll return in the evening. Since it’s our last night in Munich, you’ll have the option to either head back for a third round at Oktoberfest or explore the city at your own pace.
On our last day in Munich, we'll say our goodbyes as the group splits off. Some guests will elect to continue their European adventures elsewhere while others will return home.
