What you’ll see and experience during the Kegs, Croissants & Canals Oktoberfest Tour
Dive deeper on The European Bucket List Tour with this day by day overview:
Today we'll catch a train from Paris to the Netherlands and settle into our new accommodations in Amsterdam. Tonight we'll take a walking tour of the infamous Red Light District. You'll have time to explore on your own after the tour.
Our second day in Amsterdam will be jammed pack with great experiences. We'll start out with a somber tour of the Anne Frank House. Afterwards we'll take a canal tour of the city by boat. We'll wrap today up with Amsterdam's best brewery experience.
We'll kick off day nine with a trip to the Rijksmuseum, widely considered one of the top museums in Europe. Your afternoon will be free to enjoy town and in the early evening we'll meet at De Gooyer Windmill to tour the brewery that resides here and to taste their freshest drinks!
Today we'll move locations, catching a train to the French capital of Paris. We'll have some free time before meeting for a walking food tour through Montemarte, to Sacre-Coeurs!
Today we'll hit a number of the best attractions in Paris. We'll explore the underground Catacombs, climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and enjoy views from the Eiffel Tower just before sunset!
We'll get an early start today so we can beat the crowds at Versailles, and everyone will be free to explore the palace grounds at their own pace. You'll have the afternoon free so you can take as long as you'd like at Versaille, or spend some extra time back in Paris exploring town.
We'll kick off our day by heading to The Louvre (before it gets overly crowded). You'll have the full day here (if you choose) to take in as much of the museum is possible. Although I'm convinced it would take more than one full day here to take in every exhibit. In the early evening we'll catch a train to Munich and check into our new accommodations.
On our first full day in Oktoberfest we'll hit the festival grounds early with a local to learn about the history of Bavaria's most famous event. Once we explore the Oktoberfest grounds, we'll head into a beer tent for our group table reservation. Feel free to spend the entire day here, or take some time after Oktoberfest to explore town!
Today we'll head outside of Munich to visit Neuschwanstein Castle (known as the Disney Castle). This will be a full day excursion but we'll return in the early evening with time to hit Oktoberfest or to enjoy dinner at one of Munich's historic beer halls.
This morning we'll visit Dachau Concentration Camp for a somber experience walking the grounds and learning about Holocaust History. After visiting Dachau we'll have a tour of Munich's Old Town. You'll also have time to visit Oktoberfest again in the evening!
On day eleven our group will begin heading their separate ways. We'll have easy access to the Munich Airport via public transportation. Some will head home and others will continue their adventures elsewhere in Europe!
See what my clients are saying about their experiences when they Travel With Wes
Highly recommend Wes for your travels! He organized and led a large group trip to Banff last year, which included hiking, dining out, sightseeing and much more.
Our Northern lights tour with Wes exceeded our expectations! We were fortunate to see the lights on several nights but Norway provided much more than that. We would love to travel with Wes again.
It would’ve taken me weeks to research and plan something like this on my own! I can’t recommend his services and group trips enough.
He also put together a great group of wonderful people whom we still talk to and hope to share another trip together soon. Wes did such a great job and we are forever grateful! Highly recommended!
I had a fantastic experience traveling with Wes to Norway! Every detail of the trip was planned and executed flawlessly. I trusted him wholeheartedly throughout the entire process.
First time out of the country can be a lot but having the best spots picked out and great tips really just opened our eyes on how amazing and fun Europe is without worries!
My Northern Lights Trip to Norway with Travel with Wes was a top notch experience. The cost was worth the services and experiences of the trip. If another itinerary and the timing works out I would travel with Wes again!
